The ship was big, ridiculously so almost, although Robert knew that docking in Siren Cove it wouldn't stand out too much. It would have been an embarrassment to pull up in something so ostentatious but it wasn't just a ship, it was his home as well. Also, his brother owned part of it so it had only partially broken his bank when he purchased it. The fact that it was also a business expense helped, but only some. Speaking of business...
"Marucs, make sure you bleach that section of the deck," he said, speaking to the young man currently rinsing away the blood on the back deck.
"Absolutely Mr. Flynn. And I just want to thank you again and say what an honor it was to serve under you."
Robert thanked the young man and clapped him on the shoulder before heading back inside. He liked Marcus and would be sad to see him go. It had only taken a tiny nudge of his power to earn such unquestionable devotion from the young man, already so eager to please. But Marcus had found love and was looking to settle down. Speaking of which...
"Marcus," he said, sticking his head back out the door. "Make sure that..."
"Madison?" Marcus provided helpfully.
"Right. Make sure that Madison is ready to debark as soon as we dock."
It didn't take much longer for them to dock and Robert took the time to make himself as presentable as possible. He didn't see Madison again once they had docked and didn't care. Siren Cove beckoned him and he had a lot to do here in a short amount of time. There were people he wanted and needed to see. Some of them might even want to see him too. Others definitely didn't want to.
"Excuse me," he said, flashing a smile at the first person he came across on the street. "Do you know if the Quill is still the best place to get a cup of coffee in town?"
